The Wine
Forager: a person or animal that searches widely for food. Winemaker, Mike Graham has the good fortune to often taste small and unique parcels of wine across the Western Cape. Knowing where the best grapes are hidden for the vintage, he traverses the beautiful vineyards of South Africa’s coast and ‘forages’ grapes from special plots to create a distinctive wine in which the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. This vintage, Mike has sought out parcel of Chenin Blanc and Grenache Blanc from the Paarl, Malmesbury and Wellington regions of South Africa. Only using the pure, free-run juice, he aged the wine for a short period in oak, lending subtle oaky depth to the bright fruit notes. With ample character, it’s a food-friendly white.
"The last two vintages have seen awards, we're expecting the flavoursome 2021 will do too"
