Serafino is a leading name in the McLaren Vale and winner of countless awards. Those include the much-coveted Jimmy Watson Trophy, Winemaker of the Year, plus Best Shiraz and Red Wine of the Year at the prestigious International Wine Challenge. The estate was founded almost 60 years ago, when a young Steve Magliari arrived from Italy, passionate about planting vines and making wine in Oz. With the help of his dad, Giovanni, they started a project that has since much blossomed. Not only do they now boast 120 hectares of vines, but a terrific range of award-winning wines. They like to champion many Italian grapes, plus, of course, Australia's hero, Shiraz. Smack the steak on the grill - this red full of bright fruit will make a tasty match.

"Classy. This oozes black cherry, plum, violet and iodine aromas across a weave of olive and barbecue" James Halliday
