The hugely enthusiastic and always passionate Michel Chapoutier is one of the Rhône's most famous characters. Since he took control of this long-established firm in 1988, quality has soared. Chapoutier now produces the most diverse and complex wines to be found in the northern Rhône. They are particularly well-known for their Hermitage and Crozes Hermitage wines. Like this Les Meysonniers Blanc 2020. Produced using organic and biodynamic methods and grapes from vines up to 40-years-old, this is a top example of what the Marsanne grape can achieve. Full bodied and fresh, smooth, richly aromatic and nutty – it sings with flavour and skilfully seduces every taste bud. No wonder it boasts an impressive 91 Suckling points. A dream with fish.

"Very creamy, with plenty of candied-lemon and orange character and touches of hay. Full-bodied" James Suckling
