Château Les Grands Maréchaux 2013
Premières Côtes de Blaye AOC
Les Grands Maréchaux’s richness and finesse is the result of draconian vineyard management in this fine corner of Blaye and the input of Stéphane Derenoncourt. Not a top-rated vintage, but with this star consultant in charge, it's a fine classic.
We're sorry, this wine is sold out.
But don't worry, you'll find plenty more handpicked wines here.

The Wine
Premières Côtes de Blaye, on the Right Bank of the Gironde, offers outstanding claret at affordable prices thanks to a growing number of producers determined to match the standards of Saint-Emilion and the Médoc. Les Grands Maréchaux has been on top form since Christophe Reboul Salze took control ten years ago. Renowned winemaker Stéphane Derenoncourt, who has worked at many top Saint-Emilion estates including La Mondotte, Canon La Gaffelière and Pavie Macquin, matured part of the wine in new oak – just enough to balance the richness of the selected fruit. A fine petit château claret from a gentle vintage, Les Grands Maréchaux is drinking well now. Enjoy with a Sunday roast, venison casserole or game such as pheasant or partridge.
"Rich and smooth. After decanting for only 30 mins this wine was delicious"
