When you taste this silky smooth Gran Reserva, you won’t be surprised to learn the cellar is highly rated by top critics like Robert Parker and James Suckling. This is a top class, oak aged Cabernet Sauvignon from Viña Tarapacá in the Maipo Valley – one of the most beautiful wineries in the world. Its founder Don Francisco de Rojas returned from a trip to France in 1874 laden with vine cuttings from Bordeaux and Burgundy. He planted them in the stunning countryside around his classic colonial style house. In 1992 new owners invested considerably in the vineyards and winery, adding a new humidity and temperature controlled cellar, with 4,000 barrels for maturing wines. Decant and enjoy with roast lamb, steak or rich tomatoey pasta recipes.
