For a ripe, yet crisp, lively white, head for New Zealand. Marlborough may be the best known destination, but just around the coast is Nelson, sunshine capital of South Island. Austrian born Hermann Seifried and his wife Agnes planted vines there in 1973. Today they have 300 hectares close to Rabbit Island with its golden beaches and, a little inland, at Brightwater, from where you can see the snow capped moutains. It's a place of great beauty. Their three children, brought up very much among the vines, now work at the family estate with Chris as their head winemaker. Turua is a new release white. Super fruity and lime zipped fresh, it's a joy to drink on its own and super versatile with food. Salmon, creamy chicken or courgette fritatta.

"Love the ripe fruit and zesty lime zip of this new Sauvignon Blanc from the Seifried clan in Nelson" Daniel Parrott
