Bon Courage is one of Robertson’s most highly acclaimed wineries and The Gooseberry Bush has a hugely loyal following. Just shows, whites of explosive fruity appeal are by no means the unique preserve of New Zealand! Nestled between the Breede River and the Langeberg Mountains, Bon Courage has been run by the Bruwer family since 1921. Each year they win accolades aplenty, including ‘Best Producer’ at the 2013 Novare SA Terroir Wine Awards and winemaker Jacques Bruwer is three time SA Grand Champion. Gooseberry Bush itself was awarded ‘Best White Blend’ Trophy one vintage, too. The 2018 is fresh and racy thanks to grassy, kiwi fruit scented Colombard and a dash of lemony Sauvignon. A great party white or partner to spicy stir-fry or salad.
