Bergerac is a forgotten enclave of high quality, good value wines very similar to Bordeaux next door. Take Guyendac - a bright, citrusy fresh blend of Sauvignon with a little Sémillon, lees aged for a little extra creamy weight. Elegant and crisp.

Travel upriver along the Dordogne river and you'll find the beautiful region of Bergerac. It's a holiday haven for many Brits, yet, unless you're a regular visitor there, you'll probably know little about its wines. Surprising really, when both its reds and whites are similar in style to Bordeaux's – Cabernet Merlot and Sauvignon Sémillon blends. Delicious too. Guyendac is a crisp white crafted by well known consultant Pascal Poussevin and resident winemaker Didier Grandeau. They make a super team, picking at night and cool fermenting for maximum freshness. Skin contact and ageing on lees adds a creamy weight to the zingy, grapefruit and grassy lime flavours. Chill down and serve solo or with grilled fish and other mid to light dishes.

"Nice and fresh. Good with seafood but would be a very nice drink on a hot summer's day in the garden" Online Review
