Buyer Beth Willard has done it again. Using her extensive network of contacts, she’s tracked down another stunning Rioja for the Selección Especial series. These fine wine bargains have just one catch: we’re forbidden to name the wineries. And in this case, it’s a famous family bodega whose wines are highly prized throughout the world. To clear cellar space, they passed on the final cases of this Crianza in a one off secret deal. It was crafted in the 2015 vintage – classified “muy bueno” – with fruit sourced from the oldest, low yielding vines to ensure maximum concentration.
