For fans of top-quality Rioja, Muga is a legend name. Founded in 1932, the renowned family winery produces some of the best-quality wines of the region, including their 100-point, flagship Aro red. This is their new project, launched in 2020. The name El Andén de la Estación pays homage to the nearby Haro train station that shipped wine from Rioja to Bordeaux during phylloxera. The wine was born from the desire to produce a wine with the traditional character of a Muga Rioja, with a youthful, fresh profile. It’s a blend dominated by Tempranillo from younger vines, with a third Garnacha adding juicy, floral notes. Matured in oak barrels for 14 months, it has the finesse of a classic Rioja and can be enjoyed both now or in years to come.
