Marlborough Sauvignon is still the UK’s darling white. But, with prices rocketing, we made it our mission to find one that would dazzle you with value as much as flavour. Assisted by the makers of our beloved Sunday Bay, this is mission accomplished!

Phil and Chris Rose are amongst the original winemaking pioneers of Marlborough, and have made some of our bestselling Kiwi whites. They were, unsurprisingly, our first port of call when we were on a mission to find our customers a Sauvignon with all the dazzling, grassy fresh, ripe fruit you’d expect, but at a surprisingly modest price. They combed through every inch of Marlborough, called upon all their grape growing friends and, together, we succeeded in creating this lively Mount Richmond, the first vintage of which was 2017. In 2019, it still has the classic ‘leap from the glass’ passion fruit and cut grass aromas and generous tropical fruit. Chill down and enjoy as a glass on its own or with salmon or spicy fishcakes or stir-fry.
