Grape growers for five generations, the Manzanos family constructed in 2002 a modern winery of timeless elegance at the heart of the Rioja appellation. Situated at the point where the Ebro and Ega rivers meet, it affords a wonderful view over this beautiful landscape. Following the loss of their father when they were in their early twenties, Victor and David Manzanos now run the estate with impressive innovation and flair. Grapes for their fine Gran Reserva were taken from 30 to 60 year old vines grown at 400 metres above sea level – key to the wine’s elegance, richness and complexity. Matured in French and American oak to lend subtle spice notes, this fine Gran Reserva makes a delicious partner to game or lamb. Best to decant early.
