  • Gold, Gilbert & Gaillard International Competition, 2021

Just southeast of Bordeaux, Lot is home to Cahors and its serious Malbec wines. However, there's excellent value and quality to be found a little further afield too. Introducing Legrand - a gorgeous, fruit filled Malbec to rival those of Argentina.

Maison Legrand is the result of a collaboration between two good friends, both with long and varied wine careers that span the renowned regions of France as well as ventures in the New World. Together they've created a winery that aims to celebrate quality and the joy of classic varietals. Their Malbec is the product of over 40 years of combined wine experience and showcases the brilliance of Malbec from the Lot. Careful parcel selection and modern winemaking have created a deeply coloured red wine with the perfect balance of red summer fruit aromas, vibrant raspberry, plum and ripe cherry flavours and velvety tannins. It's a silky, expressive wine and the perfect choice for enjoying with pork chops, pasta dishes or a spicy bean wrap.
