Pinot Grigio has been growing in Australia since 1832, but only in the last 20 years have plantings taken much of a hold. Now, due to the popularity of northern Italian examples, everyone is thirsty for this grape. With his Italian heritage, Bill Calabria knows exactly where the best fruit is grown and works closely with grower mates to obtain top quality bunches for his delicious wines. With almost 50 years in the business, he’s also a bit of a master at knowing when to pick the grapes – when they are just ripe enough, but still retain lots of zingy-fresh acidity too. Essential in crisp whites. This is a lovely bright-fruit white. Chill it down – it’s a top choice as a glass on its own or with all sorts of seafood or spicy Asian dishes.
