When our first shipment of Baroota sailed into British waters, we proclaimed it to be our most exciting Australian discovery to date. Several years on, we stand by that statement. Acclaimed Kilikanoon winery has been named a Halliday 5-star winery annually since 2008 and awarded more than 800 medals since its establishment. Grapes for this wine were selected from a number of top, early ripening vineyards between premium areas Spencer Gulf and the Flinders Ranges. Vinified in small batches, it was blended and bottled unfiltered for maximum flavour. And 2019 was a ‘very high quality, warm dry vintage’ according to Jancis Robinson MW contributing to its rich and powerful style. It’s best decanted, then served with steak or roasted aubergine.
