Casa Silva was founded by Emilio Bouchon who arrived in Chile from Bordeaux in 1892. Today, it is run by 5th generation Mario Pablo Silva, who has taken the estate to the upper echelons of Chilean wine. The estate has pioneered new regions in Chile and has been at the forefront of research into Chilean viticulture “...the wines of Casa Silva are excellent values” - Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate A Chilean take on a classic Australian blend. The Semillon adds a tangy zest to the peachy fruits of Chardonnay and makes for a mouth-watering, crisp whiteA whisper of oak adds a touch of creaminess but it’s the ripe tropical fruits that leave you wanting another glass. A refreshing white with tropical and banana fruit flavours balanced with honeyed notes from the Semillon. A small proportion of the Chardonnay is aged in oak adding a richness of flavour rather than any overt oakiness. The palate is soft and rich, with ripe fruit and a good length.
