Lugny is one of the top villages of Burgundy’s Mâcon region and Albert Bichot’s delicious Les Charmes is one of its most distinctive wines. What’s more, Les Charmes also offers outstanding value – rare for Burgundy. The large, single vineyard nurtures a special Chardonnay clone known as Musk which promotes exceptional aromas, further enhanced by the local chalk and limestone soils. An idyllic south-southeast orientation and the age of the vines, around 40 years, adds to the wine’s ripeness and intensity. Several growers make wine from this vineyard but Albert Bichot is one of the best. Fresh, bright, pure and well balanced, Les Charmes makes a lovely accompaniment to seafood, chicken and creamy risottos. Serve in large bowled glasses.

"Vibrant acidity, good depth and fine tension. I love the cohesion and intensity of this Mâcon" Neal Martin
