In search of the perfect place to grow provisions for the Dutch East India Company, Lieutenant Pieter Cruythoff discovered the Riebeek Valley in 1661. He was also the first to recognise the exceptional potential of the area for vineyards. Fast forward 300 years of winemaking tradition, it was in 1941, during WWII, that nine farmers came together to found Riebeek Cellars on the same land. Generations later, their creation (now the Riebeek Valley Wine Company) continues to produce top quality wine. Like this darkly delicious Touriga Nacional and Cabernet blend. Here only the toughest vines thrive and it shows. Deep and mouthfilling, it's a full bodied red. Smooth and full of plums and dark berries. Enjoy with smoked BBQ meat or stroganoff.
