The Tarn region is a wonderfully rugged part of southern France, lying to the east of Toulouse and just north of the Pyrenean foothills. It's best known for outdoor sports, but if you know where to look, you can uncover exciting, authentic wines like this charming Perlé. This is a traditional style of wine that’s been around for centuries. Back then, winemakers achieved the spritz more through luck than judgement, and even today there aren’t any strict regulations on its production. This one was crafted by American winemaker Nicole McPheeters, using grapes from the right bank of the Tarn, the best area for Gaillac's native grape, Loin de l’Oeil. Not grown anywhere else, this is an authentic fresh white and a charming, citrusy aperitif.

"If you like crisp, dry, mineral rich whites, I guarantee you’ll love Gaillac Perlé – refreshing" Mark Hoddy
