The hugely enthusiastic and always passionate Michel Chapoutier is one of the Rhône's most famous characters. Since he took control of this long-established firm in 1988, quality has soared. Chapoutier now produces the most diverse and complex wines to be found in the northern Rhône. They are particularly well-known for their remarkable Hermitage wines. Like this Les Meysonniers Blanc 2017. Produced using organic methods and using vines up to 40-years-old, this is a top example of what the Marsanne grape can achieve. Full bodied and fresh, silky and smooth, richly aromatic and nutty – it sings in the mouth and skilfully seduces every taste bud. No wonder it boasts an impressive 90 Parker points. Pair with fish for pure perfection.

"Honeyed richness, tangerine notes and a long, harmonious finish. A terrific effort" Robert Parker
